Overview
Cline is an open-source coding agent built by Cline Bot Inc. It calls itself "The Open Coding Agent," with edits across your project, bash command execution and a "Plan, then Act" workflow. It ships as a VS Code extension plus a JetBrains version, a CLI, a desktop app and an SDK for embedding. You can connect Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, AWS Bedrock, Ollama and other providers — or any OpenAI-compatible API — with your own key (BYOK).
