Claude Duet is a proactive AI agent that Anthropic released as a research preview on October 21, 2026. It is a standalone app, separate from the Claude app, available on iOS, Android and claude.ai. It checks your connected apps every few hours, alerts you only to what needs attention, and sends a summary of what matters each morning. It connects to more than 6,000 connectors and plugins in Claude Marketplace, and does its work on a cloud computer rather than your own PC. It always asks for your approval before sending messages, making payments, signing documents or deleting anything. It runs on Claude Opus 5.5. It is available to Pro, Max and Ultra subscribers in the US, starting with those who join the waitlist. There is no extra charge; it runs within your plan's usage limits.
